WWR gets greener wheels - 08/09/2009

Wiltshire Wood Recycling (WWR) is now able to be more efficient and sustainable as a result of using its new replacement truck. Derek and Teresa Quinn of WWR put in many months of work to raise over £30,000 to buy a new gas powered truck which has twice the capacity of the old truck and means fewer trips to collect the wood. The grants were gratefully received from the recently abolished North Wiltshire District Council who gave £15,000, the Defra Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund (£10,000) and Wiltshire Council (£5,000).

The truck was formally presented in June of this year with representatives of the funders and supporters of WWR present.
